Tasty beer-battered hake that will excite your guests taste-buds and leave them licking their fingers.

CHEF BERTUS‘ GAMES NIGHT RECIPE

Ingredients:

  • Hake fillet – 300g per person
  • Batter
  • 250g Flour
  • 150g Corn flour
  • 20 g Baking powder
  • 20g Curry powder
  • 750g Beer
  • 15g Salt

Method:

  • Mix all the above ingredients together.
  • Tartar sauce

Ingredients:

  • 1kg Mayonnaise
  • 150g Chopped Capers
  • 100g Chopped Onions
  • 200g Chopped Gherkins
  • 100ml Lemon juice
  • 30g Parsley  

Seasoning  

Method:

  • Dry the capers gherkins and onions well.
  • Place the mayonnaise in a large mixing bowl
  • Mix the gherkins, onions capers, parsley, and lemon juice into the mayonnaise.
  • Season

To serve

Dust the hake fillet in plain flour, dreg through the batter and fry until crisp.

Season and serve with lemon, a side of tartar Sauce and a portion if fries.
